about

‘The Art of Colour’ is my debut album, crafted over the past 3 months, the haste spurred on by the imminent arrival of a little human. While it was written in a relatively short period of time, it is built on ideas which have been conceived and developed over many years of creating music, collecting field recordings and experimenting in the studio. At its heart is a fascination with sound, process, and the beauty of nature. While not squarely aimed at the dancefloor, much of the album combines together elements of deep house with organic beats, progressive structures, playful melodies and rich synths pads atmospheres. Designed to be enjoyed anywhere. Wholeheartedly a DIY project, each track was written, mixed and mastered purely within Ableton Live 10 Suite, no third party plugins or sound libraries, just factory content, found sounds and field recordings. Designed to be pulled apart, reused and remixed, every Ableton project is included in the album for anyone to explore or tinker with, and remixes are strongly encouraged. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a bigger collaborative project. This album is a living thing that will grow and evolve over time, but for now, I hope you enjoy the many colourful sounds within. As always, thanks for your support.
